Nice work there!

Question - are the lower pockets "patch pockets" - i.e. the pockets dont go through to the inside of the smock? if so, is it possible to remove them, then make some bigger ones out of the material you've removed from the legs, with a zip at the top, to sew onto the outside at the front?

I found the front pockets really useful at UCAP on the weekend for spare mags and pyro - and as they're on the front, away from the mag pouches, dead easy to get into.

Just placed a rather expensive order at KEH.com....

I've purchased a Leica IIIA screwmount + a 50mm lens and a lens cap....
totalling at $450 + shipping....I just know I'm going to get violated by customs again :?

We're talking about a bargain-price Leica here...an original. Not one of those "escaped from the tractor factory" fakes.

A camera well loved by photographers around the world, in the army or otherwise.

Most expensive camera I've bought ....ever!

They seem to be patch pockets, hopefully I`ll be able to make the larger front pockets, but my Mrs has pinched the excess trouser legs to make flag bags for her cub scout group
The ones on there are long enough for mags, I`ll have to think about destitching and maybe re-positioning them. I was going to remove the top pockets but they`ll be useful for my cigs, think I`ll have to get a few zips in.

There`s not much to it really as long as you can use a stitch ripper and a sewing machine.
Mine were a bit of a pain because I got them too large, as long as someone gets the correct height and allows a size larger chest than normal they`ll have a lot less work to do.
The US overalls seem to be the best as they are a close colour match, made from cotton, have a full length zip and no epaulettes.
Then its just a case of looking at a few pics, removing unwanted pockets and chopping and hemming the legs just above the knees.
As Kermit stated, the really useful pockets are the lower front ones, period photos always seem to show FJ with them bulging with mags and grenades. These were a large squarish shape with zips at the top and if I can wrestle a bit of the left over leg material from my Mrs I`ll do those at some point. :)

Just got my M41 jacket and Div and rank patches from SoF. Again, no complaints with the quality or fit of the jacket (although I should have ordered one size up :( just as well I'm hitting the gym with WhosWill  ).

Can anyone tell me, is the EMs M41 supposed to have epaulettes?

Also, unfortunately just received my tax invoice from TNT, for the delivery of my MP001 -

VAT on delivery charges is perfectly legal, in fact required - I do it all the time. Sorry, doesn't make things better does it! The carrier pays the tax on your behalf, then recovers it so there will be an additional cost (and profit to be made).
Bah, charges

I take it I can just phone them up and pay by debit card?

The other thing was, because I had the parcel delivered to work, like evrything, they sent the invoice here too. Unfortunately they didn't put my name in the top line, and one of my colleagues opened it to find the word 'gun' and 'gunner' liberally sprinkled across 4 pages!

Not too much call for guns in hospitals, funny that...

I know nothing about fallschirmjager jump smocks...

However having had a quick look at pics of real jump smocks on the net, I'd say thats a pretty good repro you have there. There are differences, but there were bound to be, and any differences are not too noticable.

Well done!

:D
